I can see the appeal of Ivermectin to these people: it is, after all, he recomended treatment for a horse’s ass.

Simply stated, there are no bad actors in this case.

Bat!

Largely agree, except that the Delta variant is a bitch, and my small kids aren’t vaccinated yet. COVID isn’t transmitted by fomites, so surfaces don’t matter. But masks definitely decrease the spread radius, so they’re more than hygiene theater if you have vulnerable people in your life IMO.

a “too much money, too little taste” sort of aesthetic.

Good. Go after Harley-Davidson motorcycles (and the even more dirtbag custom bikes), modified diesels, and fartcan car exhausts.

Also who were the prayers to, Jesus, baby Jesus, Shiva, Jobu, Cthullu, etc... That is important information that we in medical fields need to know.

Yup. Was reading somewhere about this other woman who was given Invermectin and came through. A statement from her son said that the medicine AND prayer were definitly responsible.

I’m hearing good things about applying leeches, bleedings, swallowing crushed emeralds and drinking your own urine but the FDA is obviously covering up the research.

At least they got to own the libs before they died.

A shame it didn’t wallop Mississippi. They apparently think they’ll live forever, so they’ll be fine if they die from something entirely preventable.

I mean, the vaccines need refrigeration still so it’s not an easy prospect. Let alone qualified people to distribute and administer. I wouldn’t stay back for these people at this point. I’d help until the last minute it was safe to leave but that’s it.

Oh, c’mon. It’s part of a nutritious breakfast.

“Still, given the lack of any effective treatments at the time, it was absolutely worth trying ivermectin out”

Randomly taking pills is not “worth trying out”. Its a anti-parasitic drug. Covid19 is a virus.

I.e., if your doctor tells you not to use ivermectin, trust them. If your doctor is suggesting it, seriously consider their recommendation.

What do people with medical degrees know that your regular Joe doesn’t? It’s just medicine gatekeeping I tell ya!

How about don’t take medication that isn’t prescribed to you by someone with a medical degree?

It really is a great anti-parasitic. I take horse sized doses of it and have seen a huge increase in the number of rope worms coming out in my stool!

I like when a news article doesn’t bash but tries to inform in a pretty neutral way.

Imma say..... the RMS Titanic. Besided that one tiny flaw, that foo would’ve prolly been a badass ship. It was just before its time* I suppose.
