Twist: It will be revealed that Jax lied about buying the house and unbeknownst to Brittney, they have actually been squatting in an Ikea for eight months. No one gets a house in the divorce but Brittney gets a lucrative sponcon deal for Ikea’s swedish meatballs.

Maria, thanks for keeping the Vanderpump Rules content flowing here! I’m hoping for follow-ups comparing Kristen and Scheana’s new houses followed by a deep dive into Jax and Brittany’s house and who will likely get it in their eventual divorce.

Because he is male and White.

I read an article about Michael Phelps once that described the many ways his physiology and biochemistry is different from the average schlub’s, making him a swimming machine. Never did the article suggest that this was a negative thing that should be suppressed, the tone of the article was more "wow, this is super

Foreshadowing”

I no longer feel bad for working “normal” hours. I see people already in their cubes plugging away when I get in... and I leave every day at 4:20 with no guilt what so ever.

This is hilarious. Anyone who has spent time in a closed Facebook group ostensibly with feminist or progressive leanings can tell you firsthand that relational aggression, hierarchical bullying, and mean girls are still very much a thing in woman-centered spaces. It’s just that they’ve evolved, like the raptors

Workplace flexibility is ESSENTIAL to retaining talent through people’s child-raising years.

I experienced this in the most painful levels running for office. The sexism from men was off the charts, of course, but the cruelty from some of the other Democratic women was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Everyone was jockeying for scraps because there were so few women in power. And there was this weird band

Came here to say the same thing! Much like an abuser attending court-mandated therapy, I believe Jax has just learned from the past seasons how people want him to behave and is now able to fake basic human decency. As was made clear in his convos with Brittany’s family in the penultimate episode, he is still very much

I absolutely agree that talent is being kept out of the workforce because of this. I was 3 months postpartum when I started to work for my company. The deciding factor was the daycare adjacent to work, and the fact that the company pays 25% of childcare cost. This has saved me many thousands of dollars over the years

It’s also not a huge sign of growth that she insisted on drinking even though she was told by her doctor that it’s destroying her stomach. How is it possible to make Jax the voice of reason in any situation?

How could you POSSIBLY have drank the Reformed Jax koolaid?? He spent the whole season trying to tear down James (who is also awful, bless this show) for....mentioning the very well known fact Jax cheated...? And his reactions to Brittany’s father and brothers last week was insane. He is a monster and will always be a

A colleague of mine’s wife went out of town on business and people in our community BROUGHT OVER FOOD FOR HIS FAMILY. My dad was out of town three days a week my entire childhood and no one ever brought us squat.

I read a recent study that examined woman on woman bullying in the workplace. Conclusion? Women tend to bully other women in the workplace when there is lack of diversity in top spots. When you don’t see coworkers who look like you, you tend to think you’re “accepted” so when another woman comes along, you turn

In between Go Ask Alice and Queen Bees and Wannabees was “Reviving Ophelia” a book in the similar vein of analyzing “what the hell is going on with Girls?” but with a major focus on low self-esteem and how it manifests.

I would but then my anonymity here would be gone! Which is terrifying.

Great post.

I was going to say as well that its something about our work culture that needs to change. Nobody I know works a “9-5,” and being available 24/7 via texting and email has become the new norm. Kids or not, people are entitled to having a personal life and should be able to make time for that.

We’re more “productive” than ever, but we work hours as long as our parents or grandparents, and yet struggle more than they did to afford a house or any semblance of financial stability. We need another workers’ rights / trade union push, like the one that got us 8 hour days and the 5 day working week. We should be
