Yep. Prior to this anyone with a sense of human rights and general decency would have been freaking out about how horrible Pence would be as President. Now, with all of this insanity, we’ll be breathing a sigh of relief when Pence takes over (and then promptly does terrible, but predictable things).

Plus, if the information they contain isn’t valuable then there’s no harm in releasing them right? His is the party of “why are you worried about surveillance if you have nothing to hide” after all

There’s no way that Trump isn’t being set-up to be impeached. The advice he is receiving is wildly out of step with reality.

Reporters cannot ask him multipart questions, it makes it WAY too easy to dodge. I can’t imagine how tempting it is to ask a whole litany of questions in your one turn but the fact that he could sidestep the question about whether his staff had contact with Russia is unacceptable.

This is such a stark contrast to Obama’s farewell speech last night (and the last 8 years for that matter, but last night brought it home in a very heartbreaking way) that it makes me tear up. At this point, I wish this too. I genuinely think that Pence would be better, because I don’t think that Pence would get into a nuclear war over a few insults.

God, the schadenfreude will be palpable if NFL owners end up paying for a new San Diego stadium after the publicly-funded option was soundly rejected. Perhaps this will embolden municipalities everywhere.
