The theory is that the average broadcast age is 58, and the younger people are watching on streaming. That works when the CBS and WB parts of the company make and own those shows, put them on the CW, and also license them out to streaming. But with the new ownership, they won’t own any of the shows they put on, so

Alt-head: ANA DE ARMAS WANTS YOU ALL TO KNOW THAT HER MOVIE BLONDE PREMIERING ON NETFLIX SEPTEMBER 28TH IS NC-17 SO HERE SHE IS TELLING YOU THAT

I will never miss an opportunity to link to Roger Ebert’s very sweet column of thanks after Schneider sent him flowers when he got sick:

The first actual sketch was better and made a concrete point: it was Dave Chappelle (ah, 2016, simpler times) and Chris Rock watching the election returns with some white friends, and their interaction can be summarized as

Yeah: artistically, GoT and this are descendants of the many, many historical shows that have ended up on Masterpiece Theater (which I will always call) over the years. And those are 100% courtly machinations.

I know they wanted the reveal of Daemon talking to Corlys, so it’s in Corlys’ place, but as they’ve set up this world I don’t see Corlys summoning Daemon to his home like he’s an employee.

Compelling as in convincing, or compelling as in now that you said it I won’t be able to get it out of my head, thanks loads?

This is still not coming out for 10 months? Holy Christ, are they hand-animating it?

Yeah, I wonder if article author has looked at their local news schedules: local starting at 4 and ending at 6:30 is increasingly common.

I presumed that the fact that all the pics are essentially identical was a deliberate joke, and I enjoyed it.

Also: “They’re showing a limited joke persona, as much jerk as they could get away with it at the time.” — probably “limited jerk persona”.

OK,  just realized: TM went from playing several different people who all look alike to playing one person who looks like two different people.  TWIST!

OK, one more point here: the entire twist adds nothing to the story, except that by putting it at the end of ep 9 instead of deep into 10, it gave me and others a chance to guess that she was the killer. If you’re going to make Poppy be Becky, make the murder motive be that someone found out! Or something! As it

It’s got the usual Marvel/Disney insanely long end credits, which also include a stinger, so it’s a 23-minute show at best.

Semi-related...am I the only one who thought, when the curtain went up, that they were doing the stage version of Singin’ in the Rain?

What was that whole tangent about Charles family for?”

The more I think about this the worse it gets, actually. Never mind hanging out in the bar — Poppy, in the present day at least, accompanies Cinda when she records people. The entirety of “All is Not OK...” would have made with Poppy in tow. Cinda never interviewed anybody who knew Becky, the subject of the podcast?

He only made up “really wanted to be a doorman”, I think.  I think?

Also, Becky tries to disappear in her home town, goes to NYC, meets Cinda, and then goes back and hangs out in a bar in her home town?
