Well, sucks to be you, because Awakening worth every penny.

As long as they keep Casual mode, I'll be happy. I'm dreadful at Fire Emblem games, so the option to keep your troops alive in Awakening was a welcome one.
That's only because low~mid range PCs are kind of affordable down here and requirements for F2P games are generally low
The more telling thing is that console games are typically the "low", or sometimes the "medium" settings when viewed on the PC platform. Even worse, the resolution is dropped and so is the framerate. There might be some fun things, like lighting tricks, that might be applied, but nothing crazy like shadows and…
i7's do something called "hyperthreading" but very few games take advantage of it. I'm assuming there would be minimal difference between my i5 3570k and an i7 3770, unless Projekt Red is really looking to push any PC advantage they can. My assumption is this game, like most, will be limited mostly by GPU.
I think the tough thing for me with the decision to go PC (knowing it canrun far better than consoles) is that I feel like I'll always want to be able to max out my settings, even though I wouldn't actually need to for the same quality as the consoles. The benefit of owning a PS4 or Xbox One is really the fact that I c…
Hahahahahahahahaha. Gaters fucked themselves.
Waaaaah, where's the $300 million fund to get more white men working in tech and gaming?
Origin's customer support is incredible. With Steam I need to wait days or even weeks to get updates on tickets. They've always been able to helpful to me even if I uhhh wasn't really having a problem and was asking for them to give me some limited promo dlc for free heh....and also they'll often throw in a free game…
Are we still trying to make sense of the train wreck that is Destiny's story?
They're a small new team, but they're experienced devs.
Vanishing of Ethan Carter needed more love - one of the best looking games of all time.
I know, right? I just can't understand why opinions are subjective. It's ridiculous!
In their blurb before the list, it states that these are kotaku's 12 best games of the year.
Transistor
This thing is buuuuuuuusy.
Despite its many flaws, I enjoyed Remember Me quite a bit. The game was too short and the gameplay too repetitive or wonky but even if the story wasn't a masterpiece, the setting, environnements and pacing gave me a nice ride for the money (got it at like 5$ though...). This one intrigues me. I'm just hoping it's not…
...is optimal. For very wide FOVs you want the HUD near the center of the screen, since the corners are too far in your peripheral vision and not clearly visible when looking forward. Far Cry 4 has it exactly right.
This actually made me realize that there is much less of a personality cult happening around developers these days. Most famous developers I know are older. David Perry, Peter Molyneux, Sid Meyer, Hideo Kojima, Richard Garriot, Warren Specter, Ale Lowe those are the ones I know. Some of these people haven't even made…
