The card is too random to be consistently competitive. It’s why you hardly ever see it run in tournaments. Sometimes it works out well for you. Other times it will lose the game for you. The card is a non-issue compared to any number of say, Shaman cards out right now.

I wouldn’t say zero reason. I’m a PC gamer primarily but I sit at a desk all day. Sometimes it’s nice to sit on my couch and kick my feet up. I have a nice TV, and a nice sound system. So playing games on that is fun. Consoles are easier and just work.

I don’t think you understand how publishing works. No single game gets released for Xbox without Microsoft giving the ok. Microsoft is making this a requirement. I just started Banner Saga 2 and have quickly been reminded why I loved the first one. It's Oregon Trail core with some very solid and challenging turn base combat make it pretty unique from anything out there. Beyond that the art, music and writing are reason enough to play it.

Dark Forces might be one of the most important Star Wars games, but the best? It’s sequels are almost certainly better on all fronts. Also, KOTOR. KOTOR exists and it’s hard to pass that one up.

It’s a really tough call. I think Super Mario World is overall the better more polished game. But there is perfection in the simplicity of SMB3. You could say the same thing about SMB3 vs previous Mario’s I guess. But I think SMB3 is sort of the holy grail of perfect balance. And easily one of the best games ever.

Don’t forget Dark Forces. That is a great Doom-esque shooter that has the upside of being Star Wars themed.

I’ve been saying this for a long time. Lack of visual fidelity often meant developers had to put a stronger emphasis on gameplay,writing etc. There isn’t nearly as much variety in games today, at least in the AAA level. Everything is pretty and generic.
