I used to enjoy their content. And I know it’s just a bunch of guys who are making money for themselves, but as Americans, we’re supposed to be avoiding consumption of Russian exports. Ultimately, the consumption of Russian exports is supporting Putin and his actions. Sorry for being political, but I just won’t watch

Nothing like trying to sell a foreign car with a terrible reputation for quality (whether it’s deserved or not) in a time of jingoistic/uber-manly beliefs for half of America and a fear/buckle-down mentality from the other half. As others have said, just let Alfa go out with some dignity.

Ohmygod Alfa Romeo is dead. Just let it die. Ditto Maserati. Ditto Jaguar. Ditto so many brands that had their heyday back in the 70s and 80s. Just let them die.

Clearly that’s why people aren’t buying Alfa Romeos, not the complete absence of quality.

Bruh...

The actual inconvenience is rapidly becoming perceived inconvenience, in my opinion, since you can get to 80% charge in 15 min these days. On a road trip it is not imperceivable to spend that much time stretching, getting something to eat/drink, use the bathroom. Of course there needs to be enough chargers to handle

Back when I leased a Volt in 2011, some people on the automotive forum I read lost their minds. Suddenly, everyone was an ‘expert’ on CO2 emissions and whatever. Also, Total Cost of Ownership compared to a Corolla or similar.

And the fact that they started walking back those promises pretty much right after election day doesn’t seem to be bothering any of his idiotic base. They already walked back that they will make groceries cheaper. They have already come out and basically said their government austerity plans will probably hurt people,

Meanwhile the flights from London to the US were traveling at a ground speed rivaling a 2CV

That is exactly how he won.  He identified cultural issues and promised everyone that he would take care of those issues.

Scaringe is absolutely right.

Let his idiotic EO’s come out and end up in court for years. He’ll likely be gone (or gone early with his unhealthy angry self) before they actually get implemented

Seriously, what the fuck are y’all trying to do to me? Between this and the $20K Bentley in Vegas earlier this week (not a NP/ND car), I mean you’re telling me I can have a total of 22 combined all luxury cylinders for $35K all-in? $1,600 a cylinder? 1002 combined horsepower? For $35K? I mean, shit, I can use one to

I think a part of it is that tariffs create huge opportunities for influence and graft, by granting exceptions:

Tell me you don’t understand how math works without telling me you don’t understand how math works.

eh, the last bout of inflation was caused by all of the money that was given away during the covid pandemic.

All Trump-caused. Just like the last bout of inflation.

Seeing how many vehicles ‘the domestics’ sell in Mexico and Canada (that would be the rest of North America for the geographically challenged), taking that chunk of sales away would certainly get the attention of those automakers, and the new morons making economic/political decisions in DC.

I recently returned from a trip to Mexico, and BYD is already a SERIOUS player there. It’s a big deal in the EU as well, something like five percent of the market over there.
