Proportionally weird, a little awkward to look at, and selling in the wrong season for a convertible... I’m still not totally turned off by it. As long as the roof stayed down, it might be neat. Definitely unique.

With pretty much all of the episodes of Mayday on YT now, I’ve been watching WAY too much of that recently (the investigations are fascinating!). As a result, I just recently saw a demonstration of how explosive airline tires are... and the amount of damage a rupture can cause. Gooey is probably the word that comes…
I realized after reading this that it’s my answer too. I just went to a car show on Sunday, and there were way too many Mustangs, Camaro’s and Corvettes. BUT, they were a hellova lot better than the bro douche that brought a restomod bro-truck.
I had to look up the “nobody bought the PT Cruiser” comment because I remember them being everywhere. And yeah… somewhere close to half a million from ‘05 to ‘08. That’s when sales cratered. For some reason, I don’t see data on ‘01 through ‘04…but since people were initially paying over list, it was probably 100k…
It’s probably worse thinking of it that way. Peak value for this is in that $60k range…but that’s a truly special and well-documented car. If he’s thinking it’ll be $85k to restore to something that’s market value, he’s basically saying “buy my car to lose $50k.”
People will want to take a close look at where their child’s clothes come from first, then look at all the cleaning products they use. This idea isn’t new, people are either unaware of the reality, or intentionally ignoring it because it’s currently really expensive to prioritize products without cancer causing…
Wow. That seller is a special kind of delusional. Should be the easiest ND of the year. I assume the seller is registering accounts to hit NP as much as possible.
Two related things…very closely related. Jacked up pickup trucks are simply not safe for everyone else around them. They’re certainly not crash tested, and if they were, I’m sure the results would be horrific. 90% of them only see roads, given the super low profile tires they have, so I can’t see anyone making a…
Well... I think an actual 240Z would be much more expensive than this... it’s almost like I’d be saving money.
The Miata gets hate?
ND mostly because “Gran Coupe” is stupid.
On one hand, yeah…Tesla should be focused on building an affordable car for more people, not getting distracted by robotaxis.
Sorry… when exactly did Tesla start making affordable cars?
I think you’re way off on a lot of that. Maybe you didn’t enjoy the specials, but it’s been pretty clear that they enjoy doing them when they can based on interviews that aren’t just promo material. They certainly get on each others nerves on occasion, but that happens when your friends with people. There certainly…
You’ve already covered the two that I would have put forward…notably the Volvo V60. To my eye, it’s the most beautiful car on sale. But I am really biased towards wagons.
That was too awesome.
I can’t see dropping $20k on something with that much green vinyl. It’s cool, and I love it, but not nearly that much. Especially considering the world just isn’t made for a 225 inch wagon. Yeah, that’s the length of a SuperCrew, but they’re also too big, and wouldn’t fit in my driveway either. ND.
Half the space in your garage???
There was a time where the team I was in would intentionally name a conceptual product with the worst names possible. This was mostly because if we had a sensical internal name or abbreviation, sales would sell it. So, we had a lot of products called “Mucus flinger” and “Diarrhea device”.
I suspect the seller is attempting to recoup some cost from that maintenance they did. I wouldn’t mind a 330i…as long as it had the sport package (I found these to be dull without)… but I also know that I can find one for less with only modestly more miles. ND.
