It’s basically whack-a-mole to try to get to the comments now and not some stupid fucking root article.

Yep. To hell with commenting on the article, I was trying to scroll to WTF over taking me to a fucking Root article...and doing so without making it possible to just go back. Had to hit up my history to get back here....and still accidentally pushed to something I don’t give a shit about.

It’s the automotive side that’s in trouble. The actual Recaro was a $568M business from what I can see…but that’s all child seats and gaming chairs. Automotive is a completely different company. Not sure about a split of ordinary or specialty…

Recaro hasn’t really been Recaro for a long time - the automotive division was sold to Johnson Controls over a decade ago. The Recaro name has really only been used in licensing for a long while now.

Interesting that the one “rule” that gets discussed here quite a lot isn’t mentioned:

My general thought process goes like…

Every time I see one, I wish Volvo made an EV version of the V60. I’d buy one tomorrow if there was a dual motor full EV similar to the drive train in the EX90 or EX30. Everything about that car is perfect…except that I’m happily invested in the EV driving experience for my DD. It’s almost the ideal car to be an EV

The plot of Idiocracy just keeps getting realer and realer.

Forget Armorall, it looks like they took their left over skin bronzer and applied that liberally after a day at the beach. After a thorough towelling, I’d buy.  NP.

Reminds me of something I was told leading up to a work trip to Barcelona by the folks I work with there: there are locals running around with water guns spraying tourists because they’re tired of tourism jacking up the cost of living as more homes become air bnb’s.  Which…good for them.

I’d star this more if I could.

Yep!

Considering the number of planes in the air at any one time and the number of actual incidents, this is pretty much a non-problem.  Air travel is fine.

Accuracy doesn’t get the clicks.

I’ll go ahead and say the dandelion yellow was the best colour for the 1st gen.  Red is still great!  But I think it looks great in this hue.  Would I buy one?  Probably…and I don’t mind the price.  I suspect the depreciation is done, so I doubt I’d lose money beyond keeping it maintained.  So yeah… I think it would

I’ll ride the bus before I ride a bike. ND.

I agree.  IMO, this raises the stakes for driving well.

You can allow merging traffic to merge safely without leaving the lane if it’s not safe to give them space.  Saying “fuck it, I’m staying left” isn’t the solution.

The differential is speed is too much. In traffic, a lane splitting bike is going way faster than the cars around them, even if they’re going way less than the speed limit. Car drivers may be fully attentive, checking mirrors and blind spots, but at the differential in speed the lane splitting bike is screwed. With

The TFL guys just did a video on an i8 they bought going up against a new Mustang GT. The main catch was that both cost the same amount to buy. The i8 was a lot quicker than I remember it being, and I spent the weekend looking at listings.
