It’s simple math really. 

I love these cars, and really miss the whole segment today. I suppose it would be hard with all the 5000lb behemoths on the road now.

GAP might make sense for people that make bad financial decisions. It kinda counts on them to make money really.

Not yet anyway.  I do think that idea should be a part of the infrastructure solution, but we maybe need more chargers first and explore battery swap as a future extension.

I don’t think I’d agree with the assessment of current EVs. They’re not a lot different than any other ICE vehicle that has more efficient versions released. As long as the infrastructure remains and depreciation continues as is, I’d expect the current crop of EVs to stay on the road. It’s pretty much an economic

The biggest knock here is that this is a GM product of the 90's / early 00's. Great engines.. crappy everything else. Especially styling. When I think back to what Firebirds used to look like, these just make me mad. And there’s no way I’d pay actual money for one. ND.

Meh... I helped a guy with his gap insurance company a few years ago. It’s a profit center. It’s sold to dealerships specifically to capture more money in the finance office.
