You don’t need to haul that much crap with you

It’s on the same plane you are

$300k and buy a fully-updated 4-bedroom house ... and have $280k left over

Intermittent wipers.

I’ve been through 7 or 8 rounds of layoffs with 4 companies. I think it’s sweet that people think it should be better, and they’re right.

Every company I’ve worked for has issued a new org chart after layoffs almost as a means to justify the process. Meanwhile, there were a ton of people that were asked to come in for a random meeting the day before that you don’t see again.

There are absolutely companies that have done this better. I was with one of them once (the experience was good enough that people started volunteering).

I love the car. 20 years ago, this was on a short list of cars that I desperately wanted to buy. A few years later that was only reinforced when I had one as a rental (that was a good day when I asked if there were any upgrade specials and they said “we have a Volvo”). But… I was more of a base model small car buyer

Car purchases are personal. Whether something is a good price will largely be personal first - especially for something like this - then maybe there’s a market comp to ease the cognitive dissonance after.

freeze hiring and lay people off until we figure out how many people should work here.”

I kinda love the build. I even think it would be cool to do something like this.
