The one thing that I’ve thought through this is the overall growth of Tesla. When I found out how many employees Tesla had, I started to wonder what they were all doing. There are 140,000 employees. 140k!! That’s nuts. They’re 20k shy of GM’s global workforce while producing closer to Mazda levels in cars (50k

One one hand, it’s $4000 and should have Ford problems, not Jaguar problems.

I think they just figured I was the ideal owner, as I have mechanic skills and live near a bus stop

Same car I’ve written about here a few times. 2008 VW GTI.

I don’t so much blame automakers from trying the subscription type model. It is rather successful in other industries, so it’s clearly appealing.

If I’m spending that much on a oldish Mustang, it’s going to be nicknamed Terminator and be in mystichrome. ND

The deer one is one where my first responder father has stories. A mature buck will do a lot of damage… and in a few cases, kill both front seat occupants. Then there’s the secondary hits…

A buck will be in the 250 - 300 pound range.  And I swear to god a buck I came face to face with in Banff was some sort of monster 400lb jerk.

Generally what I do as well. Though I originally anything smaller than a raccoon would just go “squish”.

Yeah… the Protoge5 was far from lame.

The car reportedly has a mere 51,374 miles on the clock

The Type S is a $90k car in Canada. It’s over $20k MORE expensive than a Model Y Performance. I can’t see someone hating Musk that much to make that choice - even though it looks kinda cool in a short hearse kind of way.

All of the engine parts need a TON of work. I don’t like where I’m seeing rust in all the engine pics. If the bed didn’t look twisted in the pics, and the seller dropped a zero off the price, I’d take it without the engine then go shopping for a modern coyote. As is?  No way.  ND.

C4 FTW!  They are the best.  And a convertible for under $10k?  I’m in.  Doesn’t have to be quicker - this is a summer cruiser, and I’d suspect it would do the job quite well.  NP.

Ad blockers are fine for desktop - though you’ll still get deposited into a vastness of white space when clicking a notification, which requires scrolling up and finding the read more button. It’s a poor experience.

This is what I’m starting to get out of this too. Inattentive drivers are bad. Some cars are better than others at keeping drivers attentive. This seems obvious.

My car thought the winter wheels mounted on the wall was a motorcycle when I had it in the garage this weekend, so it’s almost there.

I’ve mentioned this a couple times here before, but I’ll be in the former Tesla owner club soon enough. I know of a bunch of other people that are too. With NACS being adopted, changing is easy. And gets easier the more Musk descends into lunatic Bond villain

I think highland made it worse. The controls are terrible.

+1. I can’t help but think that China and Russia would treat this like espionage regardless of the current state of the carrier.
