This is a perfectly sensible winter beater. I’m surprised they’re not trying to eek out another $500 - $1k on the price. I guess in Long Beach they’re not thinking about the winter beater market right now.  There’s likely another $100k miles in this for someone…easy NP.

No… it’s honestly critical stuff. It’s five minutes of due diligence that will do more to help people understand their financial situation better than any loan officer will.

It’s pretty much the most Air Canada thing Air Canada could do. It’s easily the worst airline on the planet (I usually snicker at all the “worst airline” articles here that only include American carriers). Luckily, we’re getting more options up here and I haven’t had to use AC in years. I’m happier for it too.

I have no idea... but the thing that really triggers me is the choice of tail lights and parking lights. Why part naval, part jeep? Why?

Amazing!  Thanks!

There have been a couple articles lately that have surprised me with the folks here that don’t seem to realize this.

Yep... it’s jalopnik, so I was thinking cars, but you’re absolutely right.  People need to understand total value and insurance cost of any loan product before agreeing to it.

More info needed!

The list is clever, but it doesn’t get better than the first entry. Any diesel from GM in the early 80's would be bad. Picking the Chevette is below rock bottom. It’s a car that’s envious of the gratuitous and positive reputation of turds in the world.

First thing I thought of.

This isn’t new. You’ve been able to buy these for a long time. You can also buy a small display that’ll fit behind the steering wheel to provide a small gauge cluster. As in everything, the aftermarket tends to find answers to problems created by automakers.

I find it’s better to think of it as how much interest you’re paying over the term of the loan, not based on what you’re paying monthly.

If you show up in Canada with this truck, someone with an old Silverado will gift you a flag, a Fuck Trudeau sticker and welcome you to the trucker protest fan club.

No Miata in the actual list.

I intended to roll down here and drop an easy ND... I’m not likely to have time to restore anything “barn find” to make any price tag worth it... but as I scrolled through the pictures I kinda realized that I like it. And the bits that should look bad after 30 years of spiders and squirrels living in the car actually

Maybe silly question: How do they enforce this?

Right?  It’s hard to have fun when some pear-shaped retiree goes blasting by on an offroad e-bike.

Your post made me very happy.  So awesome.

I’d probably have one in my driveway if it wasn’t forbidden fruit in North America.  It’s so cool!

There’s no way that tint is legal. ND just based on that. Maybe it’s the light in the pictures…but even on dark days I can see into my tinted car.
