A Honda spokesperson has since clarified that the Prelude concept is a hybrid, not fully electric

I keep reading things like “next RX-7" in articles about this.

did anyone see a hike from $69,900 to $98,990 coming?

This is a great list - thanks Tom. I’ve definitely seen a couple instances in the comments lately where folks would benefit from this.

This isn’t true in Canada either.

Assumptions there too. That could be two months after the mods and they’ve never got the ECU right. Or one road trip.

It does. But I also think Jason Fenske is right in his recent EE video about selling his Miata: A lightweight EV that’s great to drive isn’t impossible. I’m going to guess that the Prelude won’t be it, but I don’t think it’ll be far off either...and it is a step in the right direction.

Not the point.  Saying “we are ending development of an affordable EV” is plain bad.  A real PR person would have said something like “we believe we can make a better affordable product for our customers separately” and still said the same thing.

There were three guys I worked with at the time that had a Viggen coupe. And another with a 9-3. I loved them so much that I made sure to have one as a rental whenever I went to HQ in Europe. But since I was mostly still trying to pay off a Cavalier at the time, a Viggen was way beyond my means.  Such a cool car

I love it.

You forgot both cars have 4 wheels.

This would replace my DD tomorrow if available (a Model3). If done well, an EV can be every bit as engaging to drive. The problem is that they need to be built for majority of car shoppers first, so they make funny noises and are too heavy. Right now. I think it’s going to be a while before we see an actual

There have been several times lately where I’m sure that reps from all automotive companies have lost touch with how to craft a message for their customers. This is not what you say:

Not just that. You can add a . anywhere in your gmail address.

CamelCamelCamel is one that I know has a Canadian option but it also just doesn’t seem like it works as well as it used to. Seems like half the time I get a price drop alert now I’ll check and there’s nothing.

How cool would it be if we were able to buy cars for the amount insurance companies cover them for.  Deals for everybody!

you know those stories you hear of a car getting back from the mechanic after paying a decent coin to sort out some issue that appeared out of the blue, and two weeks later the issue is there again?

A Friday car maybe?  😀

There are enough bugaboos with this car that I can’t help but think it should be a couple grand cheaper. Heck, bad AC is enough to drop what I’d pay on its own. So, ND.  If not for that, I’m pretty sure there’s another 100k miles in this car for a buyer that treats it right.

The new Z needs t-tops so badly.
