This car is no sportier than any of the other W platform cars it’s related to. Competent highway driver, and that’s about it.
This x 1M.
With the Bronco, Bronco Sport and Explorer, I’m shocked Ford didn’t kill the Escape and Edge last year.
The lead image is an early concept right?
Huh... how about that.
My god.
They have pretty close to a 50% manual take rate on the GTI... but that’s in a car that sells 6k units right now, in a company that has an overall manual take rate around 4%.
Kinda hilarious that the first entry I see in the best wagon QOTD isn’t a wagon.
This is relatively easy: NP. It’s a nice car under $5k! They have their quirks, but you in theory have money left over to keep maintenance going on it. If you can’t afford maintenance on a premium car, don’t buy a used premium car.
The auto in the Miata is actually not bad. Makes the car somewhat of a highly engaging GT car. Still way more fun than 90% of cars.
Might as well fine them in Swedish Berries for that small amount. Make them illegal to have installed in a truck, AND provide the resources and authority to seize and crush offending vehicles? That would be much cooler.
I assume Jalopnik’s editorial staff and their leaders believe that a big portion of their readers fit in the anti-EV camp.
There are hundreds of cars I’d rather have for my $50k.
What are the benefits of filling tires with nitrogen?
It’s not a generational thing. It’s an age thing, and this is all well known.
Easy ND. This isn’t a rare car. The package might be rare, but no one on earth is going to know you have it. Buy an SL for half to two thirds of this price and you’ll get 100% of the enjoyment and probably only a small percentage more headaches.
A Miata still starts around $30k
That might be part of the story, but not the whole thing.
