As a visual learner I prefer to read the lines over listening to them all of the time. I follow and remember the storyline better.

Same here. Especially since I live in an apartment and with other people, so I usually have the volume down fairly low. Depending on what I’m watching, movies particularly, the dialogue is quiet and then suddenly there’s action at 3x the volume and really I don’t want to disturb my neighbors/roommates.
