Nothing against your mom, but I wonder how she would like “60 years of liberal damage” to women’s rights rolled back on her.

As soon as I saw the headline (and before reading the article) I googled that yo-yo prank video. Still hilarious. And I should’ve known it would’ve been referenced in this article.
She certainly has. Tasteful/subtle though, I wouldn’t have suspected it without seeing the old video.
I want to submit my guess before I read down through the comments so apologies if this has already been mentioned, though really who cares because I’m so deep in the greys at this point hardly anyone will see this comment:
It’ll also allow them to argue there’s no connection to Russia so drop it already, you lost, QED. From all initial appearances, this was a really boneheaded move.
Congrats Jim! That is very cool.
He’s the type of boss I absolutely loathe -- someone who absolutely refuses to take the time to understand or digest an issue, but interrupts you halfway through your first sentence to rush to the ending (which he’s already decided in his head anyway).
Hot damn, that’s a lot more than I would’ve guessed. I didn’t think she had that much pull, or name recognition. Maybe she’s on a TV show I don’t know about, I only know her web series and standup.
Oh FUCK OFF SEAN, why don’t you go grow your hairline a little lower onto your forehead
In a related matter: does anyone know the status of the rumored general strike for Feb 17 (this Friday)? My Facebook feed, which had scattered discussion of it weeks ago, has been totally quiet on the topic in the remaining days leading up to it. Was that idea tabled in favor of the women’s strike or is it “on”?
Nuts, did I just poison my Facebook ad algorithm by visiting that shop?
Speaking of ridiculously expensive disasters, this is an entertaining read (well, if you enjoy science explainers) from a strutural engineer on the complexity of building that wall.
Remember how thrilling it was to check the news in the month leading up to the election, when it was growing increasingly certain that Hillary was going to win? I was devouring multiple news sites every day. Now I feel like I have to mentally steel myself before checking the news. Thinking back on that pre-election…
I’m with Joanna on this one. My pillows have their own zip-off cases and I have water/stain-proof pillow protectors, so with the pillow case that’s three layers of security. Also, I don’t feel confident a turn in the washing machine would do anything but leave detergent residue on my pillows.
Nah. Frankly I think they’d prefer we got the fuck out of “their” country.
Precisely, this is the sort of article that conservatives will (incorrectly) deem “fake news” because it’s framing a biased picture through omission. Technically 100% not fake, but certainly in need of that perspective to avoid cries of liberal bias.
If I were naming the font I’d go with either “Pizzeria” or “Diner Placemat”.
Good eye, that expression tickles me.
How many more eggs til she comes full circle?
Yep, and I think this point needs a little more attention (it certainly could’ve been mentioned in the above article, in fairness). I was appalled when I first heard about National Trump Day until I heard this doesn’t seem to be an atypical procedure for new presidents.
