Agreed to most of that, except Claire didn’t GET to have sex with the king, she consented to be “at his complete disposal” and gritted her teeth through the act solely as the price to free Jamie. She was demeaned, she hated every moment. That’s not really the same as hopping into bed for a royal romp.

I liked the third book better than the second.
I think it was longer in the show than in the books. In the books it has to happen very quickly because Jamie has to get out of prison in time to mess with the shipment of port so she actually does it before she forgives Jamie. In the show she says she’s been in the hospital for weeks before she even goes home. Hard…
In a voiceover, she said she stayed in the hospital for weeks so I’m guessing she was perhaps 6-8 weeks postpartum (perhaps that last week or two was just waiting for the meeting with Louis to be set up).
Pretty much everything you’ve said is 100% spot on. Hinch getting the pole is by far the story stealer of the race so far, and even if he doesn’t win its a massive comeback story worthy of all the headlines.
