Outliers do exist, but if we’re talking about...dare I say 95% of the population with trucks never really needing them even 25% of the year, I’d say a generalized statement is warranted.

Yeah, it’s laughable that they chose to buy a Model 3 and then complained that it was too small. As if there weren’t any other EV options available to them.
Meanwhile, Ford has both EV tech and a Police Interceptor model with an established market, yet they will still find a way to sleep through this.
Crook remembered a case where his detectives drove 630 miles to Mexico to transport a potentially dangerous subject in their vehicle.
I like the ouroboros of truck appreciation is the “cheap ones that will probably get beat up because they are cheap”, true or not that it may be.
Yeah. It’s a cute little truck.
It’s the official tax write-off vehicle.
what, they don’t test one or two out before trying to buy a fleet? An all electric present is kinda what Norway has. I’m curious is they use electric cars for police cruisers (even though they probably have way less crime to deal with).
Most of this sounds more like “sports car as a cruiser” problems than “EV as a cruiser” problems.
He’s as good a businessman as Trump is, which is to say, he’s a terrible businessman. Musk has been railroaded out of businesses before because of how bad he is. Both men are often surrounded by others who work to shield them from the consequences of their terrible business decisions. Trump has generally been…
A light-ish, fun read. The Gladiator bed height part is true, though it does help with being able to reach things in the bed (for the most part).
A cop named Crook. I love it.
*its wake*, *its glory*
You can like Mr. Musk’s behavior or not but...
If We Can Figure Out How to Make Them
I suspect that the “robotaxi” we saw was really just a reworking of the Model 2 prototype that Tesla cancelled a few months ago; which means that at some point it had a steering wheel and pedals.
It still is, apparently. But it’s a bit late to the party - there are a lot of EV trucks from already established truckmakers that will preclude Tesla from taking over that market.
... You realize that NASA, the DOE, and the National Laboratories have been working on these since the 50's, and that the first spaceflight trial is only three years away, right?
Three. Still has to get the coupe out that he showed off like 2-4 years ago.
1st Gear: This is all an attempt by Musk to have Tesla valued as a tech company rather than a car company. Unfortunately for him, investors are getting a bit tired of waiting on autonomy. This was his big chance to show his plans on how to do that, and instead we got more vague plans and two new vehicles! (Oddly…
