this makes me wonder how bad their Chinese operation is.

Far too many of the enforcement agencies at all levels have resorted to “trust me bro” type regulation when it comes to industry. The guys that beat down a door to shoot some poor schmuck to death? They get showered in cash in comparison.

Not to mention that they employ a lot of same people that Trump says are “poisoning the blood” of America or that the kids of these employees are what’s keeping their podunk high school open so it doesn’t have to merge with another neighboring school system in order to field a team for their favorite sport.

A suggestion for a new paint job:

makes you wonder WTF Elon did that normally results in someone going to prison.

He’s probably able to retire in his 40s by not buying all the flashy shit to begin with.

What is the electrical contractor going to charge you to put in a new panel?  I had one put in last year and it was only around $1800 total.

And who moves stuff and expects the space under the tonneau cover to be sufficient?  The location and number of anchor points for tying down a tarp or cargo net would be more important.

It’s a little 16k town in northern CA that didn’t bother investigating what would fit their needs or what else they’d need to get to make them useful parts of their fleet.

Hopefully the move will speed up as more OEMs start using NACS.

They thought more about which maga themed vinyl wrap they were going to get than any of that.

GM actually fixed something for once.

Or sell them to a recycler.

But without some insane wealthy benefactor this is just a non-starter.

Care where someone is coming to just check on and do normal help around the house can be super expensive too even if the person providing the care isn’t technically a nurse.

The car looks nice.  They should just build them with their standard set of driver controls and forget about the self driving part.

They should have just made this the 3rd generation Neon and it wouldn’t have gotten the shit it did from people that associated the Dart name with a 60s muscle car.

IIRC, many people were using aftermarket parts meant for the Abarth to increase the performance of their Dart or Renegade.

These were built at Belvidere Assembly outside of Chicago.

It would be nice if the business model was to just have a handful of new vehicles for test drives and most buyers would then order what they wanted from the factory.  Then the real estate would just be needed for trade-ins.
