If the cops are so concerned why don’t they talk to the DA and have them file charges against the dealer?

It is a hardware problem. The reason Waymo works and Tesla doesn’t is that the car simply doesn’t see objects it would with Lidar.

I work in automation and have sold and been around robots for 20 years. You only see fluid motion with very carefully programmed, dedicated robots with wrote sequences - theme park rides, animatronics, etc. It takes countless hours to make robotic motion look organic. It’s not an optimal way to move so the program has

I could’ve had SO much fun with this if I’d been controlling that thing. Imagine making the robot flip people off or making the jerk off gesture when people asked stupid questions. A PR nightmare maybe, but it’d be a hoot to see Musk explain why his robot was such an asshole.

That’s how the robotaxis will work too. Instead of bringing taxi drivers from the Middle East and Africa to work in America, they will just have them run the taxis from their home towns through a starlink connection.

Surprise? I haz none.

Now playing

Here is a quick but honest coverage of how Mr. Musk got to be so wealthy:

A deceptive Tesla stunt? Never.

It is hard to fault the police officer in that specific situation. At least, with the info provided.

Just another proof that most car dealership suck big time.

At this point, you’re a complete fool if you believe a word that man says.

I don’t recommend any luxury truck bigger than a Ford Maverick, maybe a Ranger. You are not Mr. home improvement, You are not a part of the chip n dale rescue squad. Spending $100K on a king ranch that isn’t even going to see plywood, much less towing an imaginary boat once a year is Ludacris. Exceptions exist, but

I live a couple of miles from Research Triangle Park in the Raleigh-Durham area, and every fresh off the boat Indian with an IT paycheck buys one of these as a caste system status symbol. My Texan BiL thought I was joking when I said that 1:8 cars we pass will be a Tesla ... until he came to visit.

As a mechanic, when people ask me what to buy, I tell them to avoid anything Stellantis, German, especially VAG,  Nissan, and Ford. Only because that's 95% of what we see in the shop, and mostly big-ticket repairs. ( EcoBoost turbos anyone?)  But I can't complain. Pays the rent.

I’d probably use many of the same reasons you did…except for the environmental friendliness comment. An EV is so wildly more efficient at converting stored energy to motion that it easily offsets any challenges in production. At this point, you have to be willingly holding onto misinformation to believe otherwise.

I’ll step away from reliability concerns since Stellantis is already well represented here. Instead, I’ll focus on realistic utility/usability and say a 2-door Jeep (yes, I know we’re still in Stellantis territory.)

A lot of easy answers.

Oh, both sides were open. It was a particularly warm and humid day, but it’s still a bus versus an open stage.

They were originally intended to be able to have both sides open, which would have helped with the airflow (but you’d need something to make sure nobody fell off the back of the stage if used that way).

Plenty of room for a stripper pole

I just can’t not see “Mobile Bar/Club” in that space.
