One of my old spots, the founding CEO stepped down (after taking a ~$100k seed to an 8 figure acquisition in under 10 years) and the new CEO brought on by the new owners slashed like 50% of the engineering team - myself included. (Got a killer severance and had another gig before my WARN days were up; so I was getting

I’m just gonna leave this right here.

“I was fired by Elon Musk.”

“The Trump Boeing 757 is a fixture at West Palm Beach, with the airport only a six-mile drive from Mar-a-Lago. The reality TV star bought the airliner in 2011 for $100 million and replaced every metallic surface with gold, including the seatbelt buckles.”

Well it’s not like a wealthy white South African of privilege who grew up in the apartheid era is going to care much about that.

I hope these people all got better jobs someplace else.

When she pushed back, he not only fired her but also got rid of her entire team at the same time.”

A while back I was looking at video’s and reading about the Tesla Solar Roof and if it was any good or not.   Seems like just getting the roof was a pain in the ass and would take months, reconfiguring things, price changes, same old shit with the cars and everything he touches.

He reminds me of a company I worked for, revenue was down so they fired the entire sales team. Yes they were paid a lot but they brought in 60% of our revenue, the place was sold about six months later.

Holy crap, what an immature child. I am so never buying a Tesla as long as he is CEO, and for probably at least one design cycle after that, given that I have issues with the cars themselves and not just what an asshole Musk is. (No instrument panel? No Android Auto/CarPlay, in 2024? WTF people?)

Absolutely top-notch, truly exceptional leadership being shown by Musk. No wonder the board loves him and wants to pay him all the monies.

And Musk views everyone as beneath him.

“I see that you were fired from your last job.”

replaced every metallic surface with gold”

Musk is the thinnest skinned, fragile snowflake out there.

Work in a favorable reference to Al Capone or Hannibal Lecter and you’ve just about got it XD

Sigh.... If only something like that happened in the air.... with him in it.

It was simply Musk getting mad at someone for pushing back on what he was asking for and punishing the entire team as part of his tantrum.

I know it sounds like some of that department has been rehired, but I really hope most of them landed elsewhere and told that temper tantrum prone toddler to kick rocks.
