Dog Me

I saw this film in the movie theater when I was nine.  I cried.  A lot.

That bit about the dog in “Dinner Party” isn’t a new revelation, btw.  I had a DVD box set of that season of “The Office”, and it came with a printed script for “Dinner Party” that had the bit about the dog in it.

If Dolores’ goal is the extinction of the human race it does in fact seem pretty easy to root against her.

Say what you will about those bombings, they aren’t related to “nuclear power” as an energy source.

If you want to read about something nuts, read about the Army’s SL-1 nuclear incident, which, I am fairly sure, led to the only three deaths in the history of American nuclear power.  Not to give too much away, but one guy was found pinned to the ceiling like a bug.

I think she looks quite pretty.”

Because so few of them are written by women.”

I always figured that the success of this movie lay in the fact that it’s a story of a pretty ordinary-looking woman—maybe not actually homely, but let’s be candid, sort of homely-adjacent—with a very handsome boyfriend.

Well this just goes to show that in the classic AV Club days b/f the place went down the crapper, they still wrote dumb stuff.  “Come Together”?  My God.

The novel had one hell of a deus ex machina at the end.  Wonder if the show will do the same.

One would imagine that if he did put the book on the internet, the same folks would want it removed.

“Don’t let people read a book”--always a good look

So very, very good-looking.

I had the exact opposite response.  Matthews’s many flaws and general ickiness are well known, but quitting forever in the middle of your show is kind of awesome.

Lame.

I remember reading a story about the Janet Cooke affair.  It was pretty fascinating.  Stuff blew up on her when people read the story and started trying to find Jimmy so they could help him.

This is not a true crime documentary

This sounds gross. Not sure what anybody needs to know about Heather O’Rourke other than that she died in a terribly tragic way and it was sad and awful.  “Let’s talk about this movie, where the little girl died young and the actress who played her older sister was strangled to death.”  Gross.

Ghosts aren’t real.
