I’m glad someone who isn’t in the grays like me pointed this out. Cruise was excellent in “Tropic Thunder”. For that matter “Jerry Maguire” has a lot of comic moments even if it is not really a comedy. “I AM CLOAKED! IN FAILURE!” was funny.

It was a pretty funny show, honestly, and fascinating in real time to watch the whole show sort of grow a conscience and shift gears when they realized that Matt Kennedy Gould, although basically a doofus, was a genuinely nice guy.
