Ah, Kevin Smith, the biggest case of movie beginner’s luck ever.

What a shame. Of course, the whole show should have been canceled at least 15 years ago.
I can
I always wonder about people who regard the non-fiction past as a “story” that can be spoiled. History class must have been ruinous for them. “Don’t tell me who won World War II! Spoilers, dude, I haven’t seen Downfall yet!”
I always thought “kitchen hack” and “food hack” were idiot-speak for “recipe”.
Also, if you want to read some amazing reporting and another side of Jack London, read his account of the 1906 San Francisco Fire. Riveting. Pity the man had to drink himself to death at 40.
Someone could make a terrific animated short out of “To Build a Fire”.
All you have to know is “all-CGI dog”. Avoid this film at all costs.
Clint Eastwood was a good 30 years too old to play that part. And the change to the ending was dumb.
This film was mediocre at best and it’s a surprise to me that anyone thought it important enough to deserve an oral history.
“Bosch” is really good. Michael Connelly’s novels are terrific.
Had not heard of the concept of “Galentine’s Day” before--but seriously, Valentine’s Day is for women. People know that, right?
>I remember reading that Manson was really nothing more than a pimp conman who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time
He played two different murderers in “Cloud Atlas” and while the second one was black comedy the first one was legit scary. He needs to get cast as a straight-up villain in something.
People are going to remember “Raging Bull” forever. Do people remember the comic book movies? 20 years from now are folks going to be talking about them?
Yup, the Manson Gang has been done enough. I thought Tarantino pretty much nailed portraying them in the movie--one short look at Charlie Manson as the offscreen villain, then the profoundly unsettling visit to Spahn Ranch, then the end.
I wonder if there’s some 1990s Disney executive out there somewhere sitting at home and kicking himself, thinking that he left so much money on the table by not theatrically releasing “The Lion King 1 1/2".
Not defending the use of that quote, if it is one, in that context...but “dogface” is a well-known slang term for a U.S. soldier, even if it is pretty old-timey these days. Like Joe Biden.
He is indeed, grandson of John, nephew of Anjelica and Danny, son of Tony who’s not as famous as his siblings.
Did it ever occur to you to blame the TSA and its both fascistic and asinine security measures?
