Ha, yeah- whoever thought I would miss the comparative gravitas of George W Bush!

Check hotels now and check Airbnb and also look at places in crystal city since it’s not in the city but is metro accessible.

Yeah, I was at the reproductive rights march in DC in 2004, and had no problems. Have no idea what to expect this time.

I got this. I just have some logistic questions. Since most of us probably don’t want to doxx ourselves... I’m just trying to strategize the logistics. If I setup a private group, I’m trying to figure out how to validate. If I post the link here I’ll have to weed trolls. Give me a bit, I’ll figure it out.

Yeah, it sure was different. We didn’t have a President who was threatened by the very idea of protesters, for one thing.

That’s my 40th birthday! If you’re involved then, think of me!

Do you think she fears this march will be bigger and more raucous than most?

I wish I could afford to go to DC, but I’m happy this is happening!

I just talked to my daughter and she has a friend in the area. I told her to ask if we can just throw an air mattress down on the floor. I also have friend whose daughter lives in Arlington. That might be an option as well. I can afford a hotel room, but I’d rather not invest in the pageantry if you know what I mean.

I’m hoping to go- any other Vermont represents out there? Been talking to a friend from here, and my mom just told me our neighbors are going and trying to get her to go too. I haven’t decided if it’s train, plane, or bus yet.

Yes woman. Keep it up. Love to you. Inspired by you.

I can sew too! Apparel Design school dropout here. Sewing BEE!

Do we have a Meetup.com to keep track of each other yet? I volunteer my account to set it up and coordinate! I’ll be there from Thursday to Monday. I think trying to organize in kinja threads will get messy. I can make the group private and use twinja in addition.

I noticed on the national women’s march facebook page people saying that they got reasonable rooms on airbnb. That might be the way to go because hotel rooms in the area are already marked up to astronomical rates.

What did they do to your car? (Daughter of a mechanic and daddy’s helper here.)

Hi everybody! I’m drinking Yellowtail Chardonnay and trying to not be worried about my car, which the oil change place BROKE and they do not seem willing to try and fix it for me. I’m terrible at these things, meekly waiting to inherit the earth, so ugh. But, Penn State football is on tonight, I still have a job,

Thank you, our Northern brothers and sisters!

No idea! I’m in the NY...our group is scheduling a meeting under pretense of something else to figure it out.

Wanting to attend from out of state. Any advice about logistics and places to stay? I know things will be CRAZY with the “inauguration” so I’m wondering if coming in and trying to find a way to be productive and present is even feasible?

I’m thinking about joining this march. My adult daughter and I were planning on a “fun” trip in March (we live in different cities and meet up once a year at a vacation spot) but I think this is far more important. I was also about to purchased a rug for my bedroom...but I ended up donating the money budgeted for the
