Maybe Ubisoft cancelled those games so it could make a much needed return to its roots? To a time when exciting new IPs and creativity flourished, a time when they didn’t fart out a new Assassins Creed game every 26 minutes, when 90% of their catalogue didn’t adhere to a bland, soulless template and weren’t stuffed

Idiocy is not a generational characteristic I’m afraid and given that todays youngest boomers are in their late 50's it’s seems unlikely that they are the main demographic hanging around on Discord and making death threats.

The quintessential and ubiquitous videogame scene is where there’s a kid button mashing away like a crazy person, on a game where that makes no sense, with a gamepad for a different console that’s 3 generations behind the one they’re playing on.

A couple of these originally released prior to 2022 but they all came out on the platform I played them on in 2022:

The Logan Paul Redemption Arc

Good dialogue, characterization and an interesting plot can blind viewers to all manner of sins (like poor CGI for example). Sadly Blood Orange has none of these apart from the crap CGI. It’s so spectacularly unasked for I’m not sure what purpose lies behind it. Is it so we don’t forget that Netflix makes Witcher

Yeaah...

Is Tunic really overlooked? I’ve heard so many people say its their GOTY (def in my own top 3 of 2022)

My own personal take is that it depends on what you play and how often, irrespective of your platform of choice. I consider myself an enthusiast gamer; I’ll play high-end PC games, console and mobile games if I see something interesting and it takes up enough of my free time to be considered a hobby.

Given that artists are a choosing beggars number one profession of choice when asking for free labor, it’s hardly surprising that they are often given insulting offers by companies. (though I’ve seen far more egregious examples than this one).

All those points you mention are incredibly low bars to jump over. If not being any of those things is your criteria for excellence, 2022 has another few hundred games for you to consider (especially since Callisto rivals Arkham Knight in terms of an utterly broken PC version, thus spectacularly failing one of your

Most reviews seem to universally agree on 2 things; the graphical fidelity is top notch and the dodge mechanic sucks, the rest seems to be subjective. I don’t work in the games industry but I do work in software development and sometimes a senior designer/architect will come up with an interesting new idea or solution

This, reportedly the PS5 version runs more or less fine, while on Steam the game has a damning Mostly Negative rating due to dismal performance, even on monster hardware. We all know Callisto is getting cracked eventually and pirates will enjoy their Denuvo free experience, so why risk spoiling the game for us paying

I’m really rooting for Callisto Protocol to succeed. Striking Distance know what happened with Dead Space 3 (a great coop experience but not much of a horror game) and I hope they don’t repeat its mistake of introducing regrettable DLC. Do we know if these bundles can be purchased independently of the season pass? If

I totally appreciate that they included coop but I was disappointed by this too. The devs have stated that they focused on single player, and some are using this as a way to excuse lacklustre coop implementation. “Just be glad you got it” etc. For me the coop is a significant enough addition that I changed my mind

Feels more reminiscent of Sekiro than Ghost, especially the combat.

Everything you say is true, and it’s the same reason even deceptively simple looking games like Noita, with lots of complex physics calculations, will never have true multiplayer (at least not any time soon). Having said that, there is a mod for it in Teardown, though many compromises had to be made in terms of what

I’ve been wondering the same thing but I just don’t see how they can keep it in with this new tone, that scene was laugh out loud hilarity :D

I’ve been soft-locked twice so far and had to restart the last checkpoint because the AI scripting failed to trigger the next event. It’s a game that never makes anything too opaque, so if you find yourself running around a small area for ages and can’t figure out what to do, this may be the reason. Other than that I
