Already been majorly spoiled by a Youtube thumbnail but I care so little about the game I wasn’t bothered at all. Not how I expected to feel about the next Rocksteady game in the Arkham universe but there it is.

“it’s probably out of the 81-year-old actor’s wheelhouse to play a character in his 40s”
Right, I think it’s probably worth doing for relatively short one and done type games that you’re unlikely to want to replay. PoP is the ideal game for this and at retail it’s quite pricey compared to the average metroidvania, even accounting for a higher than average budget for the genre. This and the coinciding…
Agree, I can imagine some people opting to sub for a month to play and finish something like PoP or AC:Mirage rather than pay the full retail price, essentially using it as a glorified rental service.
“(Sadeghian) instead claiming it’s “still full of the DNA that infuses the Batman: Arkham series” and adding that no “label” fits it...
Don’t take this low effort bait please, anyone who comments like this on a subjective topic is either looking to argue or just plain dumb.
I think this year was one of the best in recent memory for me in terms of what I played (and what actually came out this year). Top 10:
One of those “pretend not to know what the author is referring to when they use common industry parlance that refers to a specific business model, so that I can act superior and impart useless information that is irrelevant to the topic at hand” statements...lmao
Saw a streamer playing this on Youtube and assumed it was a terrible PS3/360 game I had somehow never heard of. Boss-fight Rick just tanking those shotgun blasts is a hilarious design choice.
I have nothing against the existence of this remaster; people can buy it or not, their choice. I do think remastering a 3 year old game, that still looks better than many new releases, is a waste of the talent at ND who could be working on new, more interesting projects. But hey, money!
With relative ease I assure you :) But I think there are several elements that play into this. Long-ish post incoming:
I’ve finished the game so this is well understood. If you’re taking the critical path only, inventory isn’t an issue but for completionists looking to collect all the charms/cult boxes it eventually becomes a chore even with the shoebox. Acquiring charms eventually starts to permanently reduce total inventory space. Th…
This section was so good that nothing coming after it came anywhere close to this high point...and everything else is really great*
“simply DLC for Modern Warfare II”
It can be done but I think it depends on how you view the movie and what kind of game you want to make. For me Robocop was always a kick-ass action movie first with sharp satirical elements. It’s such a good action movie that a lot of folk didn’t even recognise the satirical commentary. If the devs were making a…
“Andrea Rhodea is the best character in the Final Fantasy VII subseries, am I right?”
That’s what I was thinking. This is the company that brought us “surprise mechanics”.
LoP is probably the closest another developer has gotten to nailing the special sauce that sets Fromsofts output apart from others attempting to emulate the soulslike formula.

You can never have enough homages to the Akira slide.
