Not a knock on you, but in some ways, yes, some people have been waiting. Let’s remind ourselves how hardcore Hamifans truly are.

They’ll travel the world, spend unconscionable amounts of cash, wait on lines in the cold, spend days chatting online, and so, so much more in their devotion to a piece of pop culture that

I genuinely like Mark Millar, even when he goes off the rails a bit (which happens). But, man, entertainment marketing folks are just grinding down the word “visionary” until it means fuck all.

Outside of their work telling us that the Apex folks were kinda evil and sketchy (things we already gathered from their fashion choices and dance-club aesthetic HQ), all Josh, Bernie, and Maddie did is slow down Mechagodzilla for 2o seconds by throwing booze on a computer terminal. You could 100% edit them and

I don’t think there’s been a decently scripted Godzilla film since the original 67 years ago (and even then it was questionable). It seems to be that there’s something inherently hard about matching human pathos with giant radioactive lizard action from a storytelling perspective. These films are almost always fun,

It reminds me a bit of a more tasteful, Soviet version of a combo of the Visioneers and Brazil workplaces. Love to visit, but imagine I’d quit after a week.

I love how Mariska has transformed the L&O franchise, grabbing something that was usually happy to swap actors in and out and focused on the procedure rather than the characters into something entirely wrapped around her performance and kept it going for 22 seasons (!!!). It’s such a testament to her strength, will

Yeah, I’m aware, and I assume at some time women will be eligible for the draft. I also don’t think it would ever be used. Our current standing army is far more capable and large than interwar armies were in other points of American history because, as you said, forever wars and projecting power. Also, we have robots,

Sorry. I guess I needed to be more clear. I was reacting to Joan’s generalized/only half-serious comment about fleeing the country the next time the draft rolls around, not the actual trans ban at all.

As for whether trans men are subject to the draft, that’s a complicated question the answer to which I just don’t

I wouldn’t be too concerned about the draft. We’ve had eleventy dozen wars since Vietnam and not once even motioned toward using it. Moreover, if the military recognizes trans women as the women they are, then it’s academic: the draft does not include women.

Set in 2089 “when humanity has become fully addicted to technology as an escape from reality,”...

I respect your opinion and admit that it’s clunky and odd, but watching this preview — the style, the oddness, the memory of Fire and Ice, etc. — just made me smile so hard. It took me back to the “Open Arms” sex scene in Heavy Metal — terrible but also straight amazing. It’s a question of taste and personal

We’ll see that in the forthcoming UltraSnyder Cut, coming to HBOXtrme in 2022.

Also, WHY ARE THEY TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER?

I’ve watched the movie twice and the reasons its offers for these two nominal heroes wanting to murder the fuck out of each other simply don’t add up in any way.

Studio: We’ve got a note here—our surveys say audiences actually enjoy seeing Gal smile and evince care and human emotion.

Snyder: Oh? Really? Ok. Gal, go comfort those kids over there while we add more blood splatter.

They’re vibranium mats. Duh.

LOL.

Same! The way they frame him, it makes all the sense in the world that he’s hanging out with the Chief’s experiments — almost as if he has more of a place with them than the Titans.

To be fair, I don’t know what to do with my batteries either since Radio Shack closed.

Agreed — while while Doom Patrol’s Cyborg may not look or act all that much like a comics version of Cyborg, he feels right. Yeah, he’s very angry at his dad and the world, but he’s still enjoying being a hero when he can and actually seems to care about the people around him. Also, he’s kinda short in the relative
