Play me a song on sour that doesn’t sound like another, better song.

I think you mean “Olivia Rodrigo stands to make a whole lot of money from using that Paramore Song.”
Baffling to me that Jennings nixed himself out of the running (and rightfully so, in my opinion) but Richards/Bialik, with all their obvious baggage, were not. Bialik’s trash is out there for the world to see and Richards’ required only a cursory amount of investigative work.
Totally agree. The lyrics (and choruses specifically) on the last album were so empty it felt like they were written in the car on the way to the studio.
I absolutely loved the first two records, but their last album’s attempts at big pop choruses were so disappointing.
Actual chorus lyrics:
“Get out, get out, Get, get, get out, Get, get, get out of here, Can we get out, get out, Get, get, get out, Get, get, get out of here?”
It wasn’t a fucking joke and his apologies were obviously total bullshit.
Are they saying we should drive a mile instead of eating? Does it matter what you do when you’ve driven that mile? Did you buy a cheeseburger, so is the cost of that cheeseburger the cost of making the cheeseburger plus the mile you drove to get there?
Driving one mile with what as well. With a Prius? With a one-ton dually pickup? With a loaded 18-wheeler?
How do they calculate these emissions? Are cheeseburgers high because cows fart a lot?
Really, 2021 and you’re still not wise to the “A lot of people are saying” routine? What the fuck did you do between 2016 and now, sleep?
I looked through all the methods and it is really hard to tell what they are measuring to determine a food’s “carbon footprint.” Is that just the energy to grow it? Are they counting animal methane farts? Transportation? Storage? Are they counting the energy used to cook the food? How do they know if I have a gas,…
And being a neuroscientist gives her exactly zero expertise in immunology and infectious disease.
Do you think “children who would need to be born via C-section could just be left to die and that’s fine” is a legitimate opinion? I don’t. She does.
She published a book on raising children that legitimized vaccine hesitancy, and continues to espouse anti-vac adjacent opinions. Some people think having bad, dangerous opinions ought to disqualify you from getting high profile gigs that come with a lot of positive publicity (for example, one could imagine more…
To be honest, A) I don’t believe her for a minute and B) notice that whenever she’s confronted, it’s never “I miscommunicated” or “Oh wow I phrased that poorly!” It’s always “You misheard me.” “You took me out of context.”
Yeah, the whole Bialik thing is a never-ending cycle of her saying something incredibly dumb and dangerous, then offering a half-assed retraction that can still be read as an endorsement of the original position if you stare at it just right. I don’t get why people keep apologizing for her. Just stop it, she’s bad.
Her statements about vaccinating her children are some weird halfway point between scientific fact (vaccines save lives especially in infants who have underdeveloped immune systems) and Andrew Wakefield’s acolytes, which is a sweet spot if you’re carrying a doctorate and selling supplements.
You’re being disingenuous now.
You’ve expanded on your view in other posts. You’re clearly being dishonest yourself in several. Don’t give me that shit.
