There are some truly terrible cinematic King stinkbombs

Shhh! D’you want to get sued?!

Honestly, IMO it all comes back to the scorpion.

Well, looks like Alan Partridge might be getting back on television again.

In it’s defense, The Running Man also isn’t totally wretched. Like, I love that film so I’m biased, but even at its worst it’s fairly standard ‘80s action cheese with Arnie in it, even if you don’t like it it’s competent enough.

I was apparently an incredibly sensitive (wussy) child, because I was terrified by The Langoliers.

From what I can tell, the main issue critics are having with this show is actually that it doesn’t critique Picasso enough; it sounds like it’s mainly a random assortment of paintings with some glib low-fruit-picking tweets attached to them.

Little cubes... gonna... gonna knock... break... into cubes... little cubes.

I have no doubt that this movie is just another mediocre Disney remake, but goddamn I cannot imagine spending two hours either watching or talking about how bad it is.

I never said he didn’t have cause for grumpiness. But, regardless, grumpy he be.

I don’t think Lindelof can really be fairly blamed for Alan Moore being grumpy and in this case slightly humourless.

This is beginning to sound like that episode of Monk where a method actor gets cast as Mr Monk in an adaptation of one of his cases, only to be gradually driven mad by trying to embody all of his neuroses.

No offence was intended, but to be totally fair, when you say things like “Hateful Eight is probably largely forgotten”, that’s not really relevant to whether or not it was in the zeitgeist at the time, that’s a legacy thing (though to again be fair, I can’t really remember how that one was discussed at the time).

Seems like you’re talking more about “legacy” than “zeitgeist”; the zeitgeist is what’s happening now, and when they were released? People were talking about them. Certainly, far more than anyone was talking about, I dunno, The Adam Project.

Back as Superman? Cage never actually got to play Superman.

Sam Levinson (of Euphoria “fame”)

One of the best Columbo villains ever. RIP.

The less said about ‘Best in Shoah’, though, the better.
