What's a fat shaming activist? Wouldn't that be a person who advocates shaming fat people?

I think it's funny that people would assume this is fake. Some guy made a comment about my weight years ago as I was running to catch a bus. Well, his exact words were, "If you lose some weight you would be able to run faster." So, yeah.

I'm not sure if my sarcasm meter is broken or not, but I assure you this kind of thing happens. I was 6 months pregant with twins, sitting in my husband's car, when a random guy in traffic next to us yelled to us "your girlfriend's fat!" Out of the blue, with literally no reason. People can be awful.

I probably see all parties involved in this on my commute every day. I'll keep an eye out for "The wacker version of Macklemore", but to be honest with you there are a LOT of guys in JP that fit that description.

Even if this is fake? We all know this type of thing happens to women every day.

Yes. Do it as a Victorian Ball. Same clothes, less American slavery.

Those clothes weren't exclusively worn in the South nor exclusively worn by proponents of slavery. And they are in no danger of being forgotten. They are preserved in museums, books and private costume collections all over the US.

Perhaps "Birth of a Nation", then?

All joking aside, they really believe this. But more than believing there's no racism here, they believe pointing out racism is far and away worse than the act itself.

They can't possibly be racist. There is no racism in the UK. Or so I've been told. Over and over and over and over.

Yes! It was mandatory for me to attend public school growing up, so I didn't really think about it as a kid. But as an adult, learning that that isn't across the board in all states surprised me.

Well there are plenty of people who cannot take vaccines for actual health risks, not paranoid delusions. Once upon a time we didn't even have to worry about the religious reasons crowd because herd immunity was still high even with Christian Scientists and the like opting out. Not anymore though.

Because your kid potentially acquiring PREVENTABLE diseases like polio, measles, or the oh-so-fun tetanus after stepping on a rusty nail is obviously not as important as an ear infection.

I get that autism would be very difficult for the parent and presumably the child. (But sometimes I wonder if maybe it's harder on the parents? I have no idea and no business making that presumption, but there it is.) Today there is so much more known about spectrum disorders and there are resources available to help

It makes me livid that Bravo gave her a platform to speak. Granted I didn't watch it, and it's not like Bravo is an investigative news show, but to applaud her "personal decision" just makes me fume. The scientist in me wants to write her a scathing letter, but with people like her there's just no reasoning. I

It's totally the "Stride of Pride". Or it should be. :-)

Why are we afflicted with her? It reminds me of that time I thought I had a yeast infection for like 6 months and it turns out I was just allergic to laundry soap.

If Sarah Palin is really a Mama Grizzly, does that mean we get to see Putin wrestle her in an upcoming episode of her new show?

"...grift political money!"

I think the viewership on the Sportsman Channel is something like 11 people.
