As someone who owns all platforms, can someone explain what the benefit of cross-play is business wise for these companies? Doesn’t this stagnant creativity as this just makes all platforms exactly the same for the casual gamer?

I dunno if we really wanna hope for that......no competition means the winning console maker doesn’t have to do jack shit to improve because we will have no choice in the matter. I’m personally terrified of the consequences to consoles being totally interchangeable for the masses
