If you're talking about LPers, right now there is no legal precedence stating whether or not its legal. I was talking reviews here, but if you're talking LPs, i'm realistic in saying I'm a huge fan of them, but legally it could go either way. Right now the law says in black and white, as long as the copyrighted

What lawsuits? See the thing is, Google would win every single suit. Firstly because they are rich and can afford it obviously. Second, because the content creators are in the legal right here. No questions asked. As long as the content falls under fair use, any company suing YouTube/Google has absolutely no legal leg

Correct. The problem is they don't care about their other customers, you know the folks actually putting out content for them. Guess what happens when YouTube content creators stop making content? No one goes to the site. Guess what happens to advertisers when no one goes to the site? They leave. YouTube is digging

Viewers are customers. Advertisers are customers. Content providers are customers. Not sure why that's so complicated.

Seems you don't understand the situation. Do you know what fair use is? Reviews fall under this and are 100% protected by law in favor of them. Siskel and Ebert didn't pay a dime to movie companies to review them (why would they pay them to shit on their movies?), yet they did and got paid millions for it by showing

True true. Korea just seems to be good at gaming period, PC or console. It just surprised me a bit seeing Korea in the top at EVO, even though they didn't win, for KOF. That and as we know Infiltration just brings the #HEET.

You'd think them dominating in KOF would add to that too ;) Maybe they just get all the awesome arcade cabs from Japan.

All you need is SNSD

You know I see these facts, then I see that Girls' Generation, the number one female Kpop group, topped the Oricon charts at number 1.

Unless they are officially sponsored by YouTube/Google, they are indeed self employed. This is my understanding of it. So the folks you see at Google/Youtube get togethers who give seminars and such, they're on Google's paycheck .

Umm wrong? YouTube owes them EVERYTHING. You do realize the only reason YouTube is still around is because of content creators like Angry Joe. The highest subbed channel of all youtube? Pewdipie, a game channel.

Not quite. The problem is that the algorhtyhm is working like this:

Its in the YouTube terms of service. Basically, at least for partnered channels (youtube pays company, company pays content creators), if they find your video questionable in copyright content, they can stop you from getting the ad revenue. If this happens, you'll notice on those same videos ads are still being

Correct. But they are not allowed to say they are representing them. This is a legal problem for them. Right now they are saying "XXX company told us to take down your stuff" This is not true and is a violation of law. That's Youtube's problem.

Fair use law nullifies any content claim any company makes. As long as he modifys the content enough and puts enough commentary, the content is no longer legally the property of these IP owners. This is law.
