Yes they do. As long as they don't say they represent other companies. Which right now they are doing. Every time they do a copyright claim it has been under someone else's name, most of the time its proven that the "offending party" did not even authorize youtube to do so.

You need to edit your original post. You sound much less snarky and assholish here. As a matter of fact, I agree. Even though I think YouTube careers are fantastic, having back up plans in general (For all careers) is a good practice. Just not always practical.
