USPS’s problems were specifically because of an act of congress in 2008 mandating that they fund their retirement for the next 50 years. Before that they were actually profitable, but had to go in the hole to build that fund and have never gotten out.

There’s something very telling about the whole Trump mindset that the 404 page for his website assumes that you, the viewer, must be the one who fucked up to get there. After all, it’s impossible the website could have any mistakes. It’s Trump’s website.

It most likely was so they could control the number of people in the shop. As we’ve seen over the last weeks, many people refuse to obey social distancing guidelines. I would be willing to bet that they were intending to scoop the order when the person got there to pick it up and only let in those who’s orders were…

I was waiting for the right wing talking points to make their way here. The USPS does NOT lose money because it allows Jeff Bezos and Amazon to “just drop packages on the floor” and say “deliver it.” The USPS actually breaks even or makes a tiny profit on operations every year. The ONLY reason that they need a bailout…

Thusly, this episode of “One of Everything” was almost painful to watch because I was hungry and I haven’t had a proper deli sandwich in far, far too long.

I’m also able to appreciate the appeal of Padma Lakshmi’s at-home cooking tutorials, which she’s posting to Instagram in an effort to stay connected to fans while helping them navigate the ins and outs of making a chicken tagine.

She can do better.

Counterpoint: paying someone to tell you how you can or can’t use the property you paid for, particularly when they aren’t the government, is pure crazytown.
