Exactly. It is hard to read and look at the pictures from that book - even if the depiction is not uncommon for its time. My youngest kids are 12 so we are not looking at Babar these days but I cannot imagine being able to make it through that one under any circumstance.
Like a doll’s eyes
you are just getting started, if memory serves. Their honeymoon is much worse with its ugly racism. But maybe I’m thinking of another children’s classic that does not stand up any longer.
Come on! Turned his head, wrapped up, brought the kitten to the GROUND! Worst call ever.
Tattooed on all trump men’s ex-GFs/wives/etc. A badge of dishonor
Trump ruined Wile E Coyote for me by declaring himself a super genius and not giving proper credit to the OG
20+ years ago, my wife (a 1st year associate) and I (a 3d year law student) played in a lawyers’ league game with her firm. She and I both grew up playing sports and she was an excellent fastpitch player. We were short on players one night and the “coach” told me to play infield on the left side - I suggested my wife…

You guys are assholes with this thread. I made a commitment to change my daytime eating habits and now i’m having, well, cravings . . .
I was looking into that - it appears that the NCAA DOES have a rule that says that if the batter-runner retreats and touches or passes home, he’s out. I don’t see it in the OBR for MLB.
Spanish names are interesting for us. Another example is “Jose Maria” (for a man) or “Maria Jose” for a woman. These are less common these days but I met several when I spent a lot time I Spain a couple of decades ago. You would never think of saying “Maria” for the man or “Jose” for the woman. They also mash those…
100% right. As soon as more restrictions are imposed, the players - especially stars but all players - will get screwed. Otherwise, might as well sign all players to “league contracts” and just allocated them as the league office sees fit.
