I didn't know that the majority of DS9s cast were theater actors but I did know that the TNG cast were a bunch of practical jokers. I can easily see that everybody pacing around working on their lines with looks of deep concentration their faces and such wouldn't be as welcoming for guest stars as a bunch of people…
It's hard to make perfect people interesting, that's why DS9 had the best characters, they all had problems and imperfections like real human beings. It also didn't hurt that they had slightly better actors top to bottom than the other Trek shows.
I can do the work just fine it's just weird seeing that you aren't nearly as cool or funny as you think you are and seeing every funny facial expression and tic that you don't think twice about in other people. Your mind magnifies these things when they're you even though you know that everybody else does them too.
That makes sense, inventing something and making it great are two distinct tasks, I'm guessing that most people can't do both jobs at a very high level.
They could do a lot worse, I'd rather have you direct it than Orci. I was hoping for Frakes but whadayagonnado.
House pretty much salted the earth for this type of show for me, I haven't watched one in years, I now watch the funniest guy in the room shows instead.
That's not a bad idea when you put it that way.
I said something earlier on another thread about being tired of explosion based movies, well there are exceptions to that, Handsome Bob as Mad Max? I'm there.
I'm not sure that this film has a story but I still want to see it.
No Connery films? *rolls eyes*
My take is that Bond initially intended on performing his mission as planned but Goldfinger being a card cheat, golf cheat and all around shitheel that casually murders young ladies for his gold fetish made it personal with Bond. The fact that it became personal and the two came to really dislike each other is why I…
Yeah Lazenby isn't great but the story and supporting cast make up for his somewhat wooden acting, he does well enough for the material though.
There's no point in remaking a film that's damn near perfect, there's very little chance that the remake would be as good or better.
Every Bond film has that.
I don't know if it's the best but it's one of my favorites.
No love for On Her Majesty's Secret Service? I put that one right after Goldfinger, with License to Kill third, Casino Royale is fourth on my list.
Goldfinger is the best Bond film. I agree that Moonraker is a lot of fun, it was my favorite bond film when I was in middle school and high school.
I'd like it even better if the harassed person could have a representative go to the meeting with them, sort of like the Bully Beatdown show that used to be on MTV.
I can't wait to hear about the first cat burglar using these.
