I read the book and watched the movie in the same week last year and I think they did a decent job given the low budget they had to work with, I would like to see a big budget adaption but I don't think this version was that bad.

I thought those actors weren't right for the film too when I first heard about it but they pulled it of about as well as could be done in my book, they were both obviously too old but the acting made up for it in my opinion. Their personalities were about as close to book characters as you get in movies.
Doesn't' this have access to the full Play store? There are plenty of good apps on there.
I predict disaster. Spike TV is a 'bro' network and this is definitely not a 'bro' story.
Babylon 5 in it's original run. I gave it another shot later and the good parts of the show far outweigh the bargain basement spaceship CGI.
Garden variety happiness doesn't have much to do with this article about Scientology. That said, party on.
On the website they have a sports action figure who is black so I would imagine that they can do that for the superheroes too.
His comments demonstrate a complete and utter lack of understanding of human nature.
I bought an IS300 instead. A 2006 or newer RX-8 with MT in good shape was a bit over my 12k budget anyway. Maybe one day I can afford a second car, this would be better for that for me. I was worried about the rotary for a daily driver, I was in outside sales then (and might be again soon) and that puts a lot of miles…
If I could drop 10-12k on a second car I would but I don't have it like that at the moment. I've wanted one of these for a long time. I almost bought an RX-8 a few years back but the dodginess of the engines you mentioned the article kept me from pulling the trigger.
I thought the ending was pretty god considering that the show has been all over the map. It could have been a whole lot worse so I'm good with what I got.
When the stakes are too big you as a reader/watcher can't really relate to it.
Starship Troopers is a good novel but controversial because many people misunderstand the political system and messages in the story.
I was excited and then I read that Kurtzman and Orci would be in charge...
*edit*
I halfway expected you to say that when you got back to the office Jalopnik writers were waiting inside to greet you like when Henry Hill got out of prison in Goodfellas.
I would like to see a monthly article about older good sci-fi or fantasy novels that a lot of people may not have read because of youth, crappy small town libraries or a whole host of reasons. Until the last 5-10 years it was hard to get information on books you might like so I bet there are a lot of great books that…
I like coconut milk fine but hate the taste of coconut everything else. Strange no?
If you have to ask it's a mess.
I don't subscribe to that puritan philosophy. I'd be ok being a layabout.
