I use android on my phone and tablet because I can use versions of the standard apps (calendar, dialer, text program, keyboard, book reader) that have more functionality or or just more intuitive for me to use than the carrier/Android provided apps.

It's not that the Mac Pro is too expensive for what you get it's that it's overkill for those who need/really want a tower form factor or more expandability or upgradeablilty than you get in a iMac but don't need/want dual Xeons.

You might save enough each month to buy a new iPhone each year and have money leftover.
