$1, isn’t that what Tracy’s nicest car cost?

My friend’s grandfather was an early NASCAR driver by the name of Gober Sosebee. One of my favorite stories, cut from the link below:

I recognize that Boar! Did you get any wine there to make photographing a leaf less boring?

I’m almost positive those Regals (wagon or otherwise) have not yet been released

Ok dude. I lost EVERYHING in a fire. Three years later, I lost it all, again, to hurricane Katrina. I love the auto hobby, and presently own 6 cars, but if you think a car or any object, no matter what it is, can’t be replaced you need to get your priorities straight. Possessions are not irreplaceable, only life

This sucks, no doubt about it. But assuming he has everything properly insured, this can be an opportunity. Who here hasn’t done thought at one point or another “If I had to do this project all over again, I’d so ‘X’ differently”? That’s the silver lining. Build the shop how you dreamed it with matching cabinets

Let’s hope he doesn’t have a fling with Glenn Close

My friend’s dad bought one of these new in his youth. He got rid of it within a month because it was so underpowered. In his words “the thing couldn’t even get out of its own way!”

OOOOOOHH THE HUMANIT... wait, it’s a 924?

Was the frame damaged or something? I’m wondering why they wouldn’t just repair the damage... maybe because of a salvage title?

Geographic location plays a large role in how one can live on a certain salary

I literally laughed until I cried reading this, starting with “or is it some stupid expensive piece of shit”😂

FYI the first year CA requires smog is 1976. 1975 and older are exempt. Otherwise, you’re correct.

Look at the size of those tailpipes!

No. It doesn’t help that a large portion of the TRDs on the road are some shade of diarrhea.

This. What seems cutting edge now will seem like child’s play in the future.

What exactly do you base that off of? I don’t doubt many more children die from these activities, but it’s also because many more children engage in them. It does not indicate that, statistically speaking, children are “wayyyyy more likely to die” doing them.

This is very, very sad. Still though, who lets an 8 year old drive a dragster?! My friend’s daughter is 9, and she’s just a little baby. She loves playing outside and using her imagination. She’s nowhere near ready for the responsibility of a dragster.

“I would lease if I didn’t put 30k a year on, but I’ve found I can generally switch cars annually and break even looking for CPO cars.”
