I drink a hot tea in the morning, and take a mug of it with me to work, no matter the temperature. I love iced tea, even more than hot. But it just doesn’t feel right when I drink it iced too early in the day.

There used to be a Carvel in Fullerton, by Belair and Rossville, but it looks like it closed. I know you can get at least generic Carvel cakes at Giant, maybe Safeway, too. We get them a lot, and they’re my preferred ice cream cake (they have the crunchy bits in the middle, which I love).
Soon I will have nurtured into existence corn, tomatoes, and a truly absurd amount of tomatillos, and I am excited.

One of my low-key favorite things about living in Philly is that Rita’s calls themselves “Italian ice” everywhere EXCEPT the Delaware Valley, where it is “Rita’s Water Ice”.
I’m glad I read the article, because just seeing the header image sent me into a “WHAT THE ACTUAL?!?” irrational rage because it does not look like a snowball, which should be a neon-orange-tinted pile of ice in a Earth-murdering Styrofoam cup. I definitely appreciate the effort that went into this.

95% of these questions could be solved with better communication.
I’ve done the potato thing for years (ex-Scout). That’s one of the best ones, because even if you are cooking the rest of your food on a grate, you can have the potatoes roasting underneath in the meantime.
