That torque vectoring diff.
That torque vectoring diff.
Oh, I sold that bastard at the end of last summer. I took it out for one last glorious day of wheeling sans hard top and doors, hosed that mother down, and got a Mach 1.
HALF DOORS 4 LIFE!
I’m not totally sold on the wheels. They just seem so huge with the tiny bolt circle. I guess I’m just a bit old fashioned and I like seeing my Jeeps on 15" wheels. I’m with you on the weird grille styling... Also, why automatics in everything!? They certainly have their place, but these are supposed to be whimsical…
Weird, my diff had no issues. I also drained all fluids and replaced with high quality synthetic fluids the week I bought it. I had other issues with the Jeep like a throwout bearing going bad at such a low mileage, shock eye bushings (not a problem after I upgraded), and the most frustrating was the vent selector had…
I couldn’t remember the nomenclature. I had an 05 LJ with the six speed. It used stupid expensive fluid, and was going bad with less than 80,000 miles. It would feel like shifting through molasses after getting up to temp on the highway, but only between fifth and sixth gears. It would also sometimes grind into…
Motorcycles, Miata, ATV, PWC, that sort of thing. Not talking about a huge enclosed trailer. I towed my Miata with my old LJ a few times with a dolly. I could have gotten a lightweight tandem axle trailer and it would have been even easier.
I always get them confused, but isn’t that the Mercedes six speed?
I wish it were a manual. That’s pretty much the only thing I would change. Maybe smaller tires for better towing manners.
I know with full certainty that they are having the same problems I was having at the time, would be having soon, or recently had. Jeeps are only 100% not broken when you test drive them. As soon as you leave the lot, something, somewhere will break. Some day I’ll have another Wrangler or CJ/MJ, but not for a long…
This is actually amazing.
* OEM Jeep components are garbage*
Magic, clearly all of that is magic.
I hate you for bringing this up. I had blissfully forgotten this ever existed until you posted it...
I don’t have any experience with the nine speed. Even just AWD, the 1.4T (fantastic little motor) and the manual would tick all of the right boxes for me. RALLY TRUCK!
I am filled with want, and I don’t even want a truck. This is amazing. With a proper roof, this could be a real thing. Maybe it isn’t the Wrangler Truck everyone wants, but damn this is awesome.
What we really need is an Uber like service that will bring someone that can take myself and my bike home after I go to the bar. This will allow me to take my bike to the bar and get drunk in my one piece leathers. All the ladies love my Power Ranger suit.
With grace and aplomb, whatever aplomb means.
I would be down to ferry people around while they awkwardly hold onto me.
I have very little interest in this car, but damn those wheels are gorgeous. They look a bit like my Advanti Storm S1 wheels I use for autocross.
