You are correct. I was thinking more municipal or non-profit gigs that pay in the 20’s & 30’s.

Well said!
I’m inclined to agree with you there, regardless of your other points to which I strongly disagree. I’d much prefer a taxation system that is the inverse of what it currently is. Active income should be taxed at a very low rate whereas passive income should have much higher rates.
Some degrees are financially worthless though. I’m not saying they’re without merit or societal value, but it doesn’t make sense to go six figures into debt for a field where mid-career earnings are in the low 30’s. You don’t need to be a cultural martyr if you can’t afford to.
I was aware of that program though certainly not the specifics. It would be challenging because if there wasn’t a position for your chosen field of study or interest a whole bunch of folks could end up with ten years of unrelated experience and have to essentially start over. I’m unsure the solution.
I am quite sure many, many folks would take advantage of it. Things that are free are not valued. Things which require hard work but little money are valued. Just ask a gardener. That’s why I like the forgiveness* caveat that you must give something back to the country in exchange for your benefit received to have the…
I like the concept of debt forgiveness for non-profit or governmental work. I graduated with a fairly small amount of college debt (20k or so). Where this makes me feel a bit off is that I had to work all the way through school. I’m sure there was some dipshit partying the whole way through school and racking up…
Can’t he just throw a Jalopnik sticker on there and call it a day?
Or a Rhino GX! Spotted in PGH.
I just sorta get gas when I need it. Though I do use GasBuddy to see where to get it
Pace of play is the concern there. I’m not liberal in giving gimmes, and if it’s 2” they’ll usually just tap it in. But if it’s backed up and my buddy has a 1.5’ putt for bogie I’ll give it to him.
Well written David.
If you take the two numbers on the right side of each of the first four numbers, it adds up to 69. Nice!
That is a sexy car. I hope whoever stole it is the auction winner. 25k of 2019 dollars for a 60k of 1992 dollars car sounds fair. Maybe he drove it around the block every day to keep it running tight.
As a proud extension school GRADUATE, I won’t get into the debate of the value of that degree. I’m doing quite fine with my career in no small part due to what I learned during my coursework. With that said, I searched the alumni network online and there is no graduate by her name in the system.

Is that real?
I’m not super excited about Bezos owning it, but as far as the sample pool of billionaires that could own it, he’s not the worst choice by a long shot. Curious, and no snark, but which billionaire would you prefer to own it? Gates or Buffett, sure, but who else? The salesforce fellow is legit but he just bought Time.
it’s a dark road indeed, but at least you will know what time it is! [within +/- 2 seconds a day]
