Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences. Also, the first amendment only prevents the government from imposing limits on free speech, so a company would be well within its rights to not hire someone for sharing their shitty opinions.
I like mayo, but anyone who forces it upon someone is a fucking monster. Same goes with any food. There are plenty of popular foods I don’t like and I shouldn’t have to resort to lying and saying that I have an allergy to ensure people don’t try to force me to eat them.
I think you mean TAYkeover
Maybe? I don’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday, so I definitely don’t remember what I was thinking 3 years ago when I wrote that comment :P
But they rematched in Clone Wars already, so it’s more of a second rematch.
That was my exact reaction
If only the job wasn’t in NYC. I’d apply, but there’s no way I’ll be leaving the Boston area for the foreseeable future. I also know jack about competitive gaming.
Like I said, most people are speaking out against violence without being racist.
I’m not saying that every person living in poverty turns to crime and violence, but it does happen a lot. And I’m not saying it’s an excuse. Crime and murder is never the answer, but sometimes people feel like they have no options (even if it’s a really bad decisions).
There’s a disproportionate number of minorities living in poverty in this country, in part due to systemic racism. People living below the poverty line are more predisposed to crime because they don’t have access to the same opportunities as those not living in poverty.
And there’s some bullshit misconception that everyone who is against cops shooting innocent people is anti-cop and that everyone who supports cops are racist. Guess what, it’s possible to not be racist and also be for fixing the issue of police shootings, and that’s what most people are.
Getting shot for having a tail light out is just as far-fetched, and guess what, that happened.
How is it a reach? Race-related police shooting are a thing that happens. There are black people that genuinely fear doing anything that could even remotely be construed as suspicious (such as wandering around to play Pokemon Go) due to those shootings.
There are so many shootings in this country it is impossible to cover all of them. Yes, there’s a problem with shootings in this country, but there are also racial issues and to pretend like that isn’t the case is just as ignorant as you think the author is.
What’s wrong with the post? Nothing really.
Fair enough, but it seemed like he was saying all black people are confrontational with cops.
I already want to bash my face into my keyboard after reading through a small fraction of these comments...
Except for the ones that comply, and get shot anyway. It happens, so don’t say it’s because they’re being confrontational.
+1 internets for you
