I’ve had to commute in an auto for over a month now with my own manual car in the shop after someone hit it. I have to say, I don’t really see much gain in heavy traffic from having the auto. For me, the delay on shifts more than kills any benefit from having them automatic.

If you are only going to consider straight line racing, I don’t really care. There are easy options in the 20s to beat either ST or WRX for power-to-weight. The ST did not feel as good to me in the curves, and that is all it took to tip the scales for me.

3rd Gear:

No mid-20s FWD (tuned or otherwise) is ever going to hold a candle to a tuned WRX, especially post-FA20.

Other than a dire need of sound dampening in trim, I am happy with the current Limited interior in my 2016 WRX. My 03 Base, however, is definitely nothing to write home about.

I consider Golovkin a major draw. He is very popular because he doesn’t lose and he knocks people out. He has both qualities most adored by the masses.

An 06 Legacy GT or GT spec.B is a much better car than a bugeye. I have owned an 03 WRX for 13.5 years, and it was a daily driver for 13 of those years.

I don’t understand how these cars are comparable. The Golf R, yes, but the GTI is just not as much car as the STI. I could see comparing the GTI to the WRX, but I would either be shopping in the STI range or the GTI range, not both.

Most of the WRX/STI people I know (including me) wouldn’t touch a WRX with any significant mods unless they knew the previous owner. There is more likelihood that the car is being dumped than it somehow is a diamond in the rough.

I barely paid attention to the interviews of the candidates, and even I saw Trump discuss the very physical wall several times. He went so far as to estimate (inconsistently over multiple interviews) the materials and labor costs of the wall construction.

The Geo/Chevy Prizm engine was rock solid. We owned 5 of them from 91 - 02, and all but one of them made it in the high 200s without significant repair. I loved my 91 CRX Si. I have yet to drive another hatchback with better driver’s sight lines, and the car was a joy to drive. If they were reasonably priced, I would own one again.
