Depends on what you’re doing. Daily driving with some spirited driving, drag racing, mild track days, autocross sessions, short time attack, probably fine. Wheel to wheel stuff or endurance racing or constantly beating on the car? Probably not.

I completely agree. I just threw the turbo and 500hp scenario out there since OP seems to be in the pursuit for power. Even a stock 2zz swap should be enough, though the K24 has more torque and better transmission options..

The K24 should fit, yeah. The deck is only 20mm taller.

A turbo K20 or K24 will fit. Easiest way in that engine bay to make over 500hp on a stock block.

Either option is fine. It’s going to depend on what you want out of the car. The e34 is heavier and softer and the handling a bit more loose. But both cars are easy enough to work on and reasonably reliable.

Yes. The 535I this alpina both use it too. Made from the 60's to the mid 90's and available up to 3.4l. Pretty much bulletproof and loves boost. It’s also worth noting that the M88/S38 block in the M1 and early M cars is based on the M30 block.

Is that child at 31 seconds about to eat that dog??

I wouldn’t go as far as legalizing it. But I also wouldn’t make it more criminal than what it is.

I used to live in East Atlanta and I still own a house in Atlanta, though farther from the “street scene.” I don’t believe implementing this will reduce illegal racing. I don’t think increasing penalties will do anything either. I don’t actually know what will solve the problem and I’m genuinely curious if there are

I am extremely happy that my current house doesn't require that I drive down Moreland anymore. Once you get remotely close to 20, which I had to do twice a day just to get to work, it is so tight and people drive so poorly that it was super stressful. I had countless close calls. Even had to go off or opposite lanes

Which generation sport seat? I think they’ve been making different “sport” seats for decades.

I couldn't agree more. I really want premium cloth or wool seats.

You sure about that? I mean, I’m sure he’s doing well, but I can’t say for certain that he’s a millionaire. His YouTube channel 0robably pulls in 40 to 50k on a good year and he seems to work for a family member who owns a chain of Freddy’s locations:

Tyler is far from a reliable source when it comes to cars or car repair. Entertaining? Sort of. A definitive source? Not really

“Good luck finding an Alpina manifold or cylinder head for that poor thing.”

Agreed. At least the M5 has a unique and special engine. The e34 535i is a great car. The m30b35 is also a stout engine. If you can’t do it yourself, there are several tuners who can take your m30b35, turbocharge it, and make more power in a more reliable package (modern stand alone ecu) than this Alpina for

Yup. I gotta say that I hate it when they come shooting down moreland. That road isn't wide enough for the four lanes they put on there to begin with. Lots of close calls lately.

I have property in Atlanta. I used to even live right near the heart of where a lot of this goes down. Drive down Moreland Avenue on any given night and you’re bound to see some street racing. There’s even a popular spot not far from the old house where sideshows happened all of the time. I went to one that got broken

Well... maybe we could privatize it and make that location pay taxes. They could hold nights where people can have fun for chump change and maybe even hold professional events that draw in tourism. They could even put it near the airport, where sound levels are already unreal.

Woah, I'll definitely have to try this out! Thanks!
