I see the GT-R as a pretty legitimate alternative to the 911 Turbo, but I can’t understand how Nissan justifies charging $65K more than the base and $45K more than the Track Edition for the Nismo.

Got to see the crashes up close, which was interesting. No shots of the crashes because I spent most of my time shielding myself from the dust and debris.

Very interesting. I saw that article on Speedhunters back in August.

I had the displeasure of driving a Viper. I could never own one. Hot, rough, claustrophobic. Filled with creaks and rattles as the body flexes over every bump in the road. Just a nasty experience. The C5Z I bought instead of a viper was altogether nicer and easier to control and drive near the limit.

The Z is comparable to a current ecoboost mustang. The handling is actually pretty decent and it feels lighter and more nimble than the mustang.

Simple solution. Slowly eliminate everything on the car until all you are left with is a chassis and entirely new running gear and electrics.

True, I was moreso referring to that poster focusing on the <1% of drivers who purposely circumvent the inspections and applying an unbalanced theory to support the effectiveness of state inspections.

You have a valid point and Doug is being obtuse.

I’m glad they kept the Q50 Eau Rouge. Also glad the cunningham Z32 isn’t DLC. No way I was paying $3 for a singular car.

The Aventador is closer to 2 tons. Most tests indicate roughly 3900 lbs.

They sure weren’t humble when they got upset that the GTR was quick around the ring. They went as far as trying to disprove it.

Wait, what? WQ35?

What record is this? Is this the door slammer record (original chassis)?

You’re ignoring changes in production costs and the sheer quantities that game manufacturers are now able to produce and sell.

I’ll never understand why someone would pay $10 for content that is already in a game.

Sounds like you got half way to a decent solution before including a bunch of tech that won’t be viable for probably 10 years (entirely unpiloted autonomous tech)

The old SRT8 was slower than a hawk eye WRX by a considerable margin around a road course.

The current cayenne would walk the Jeep on a road course.
