Just one more reason to... brace yourself... buy a 4Runner

Hahaha. My thoughts exactly

Your comment seems to imply that European brands don’t churn out FWD appliances and that Japanese and American brands don’t churn out interesting RWD and AWD vehicles.

I find it hilarious that people vomit just from seeing/smelling others vomit.

While this was true in some circles, there were and are many builders who easily squeezed quick times out of the Supra.

There are earlier examples of powerful Japanese motors that gained decent notoriety.

Lots of people have gone the NA-T route. The NA block is dirt cheap and if you are building a really high HP 2J then it doesn’t really matter what engine you start with. You’re already going to swap out the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, cams, internals, everything. So there isn’t much gained going with the GTE if

It will never happen. It’s just what Porsche does.

This is very true. Continually loses out to competitors in comparisons, isn’t nearly as smooth and comfortable as a range rover, exceptionally old.

Terrible aerodynamic qualities.

I wonder if they had to resleeve the block. The 3UR has exceptionally thin sleeves in stock form.

You are incorrect about the weight I used for the LS1. A fully dressed and wet LS1 weighs roughly 450 lbs WITHOUT transmission. A t-56 weighs roughly 125 lbs DRY. You are sorely mistaken if you think I am wrong.

Weird.... I didn’t buy a ticket to Japan.

I would have a response for this if my head didn’t feel like it was full of cement. You get a pass this time, sir.

No. The LS actually has most of its weight low down.

Oooph. Reading your comments is giving me a headache.

Thanks, but I’m aware of the weight. :) 350 lbs was a generously heavy number used to represent the majority of aluminum DOHC V6's, but they typically are closer to 300 lbs when dry and relatively bare.

1UZ is OK. The necessity for timing belt changes is kind of a nuisance, but they make a good sound and they can make decent power.
