OK, so nobody crucify me but I was pleasantly surprised by how fun these things can be, and they meet all the “safe and considered cheap to insure. I’d like something unique, small, reliable and yet fun to drive.” I don’t think I’ve seen that many around at all.

A case by case look at a car does not necessarily make the car model itself reliable.

You could probably rig up a 3 link and coil-over suspension setup with a bunch of chassis reinforcement, but then it begs the question: why not just start with a better platform??

Forget the D21. Just get a RWD Tacoma with the 5VZ V6 and a 5 speed.

Didn’t realize I had to be specific about my opinion. I’d prefer to be vague. Haven’t given it much thought and not interested in starting to do so now.

I didn’t know you actually cared to have a discussion about my thoughts on the appearance of this car.

How popular a product is/isn’t has a very minimal impact on whether I find it unattractive.

I love the GS and IS. Probably going to purchase one of them soon.
